Step Back, Stand Out: A two day leadership programme plus ongoing coaching

Women are still under-represented in senior positions. Recent research shows that, globally, women hold just 25% of senior roles. This figure has risen by only 1% in the past year and 6% since 2004.  In Ireland, a study by the 30% Club found that in just 14% of Irish companies, the Chief Executive or head of operations roles are filled by women. This is despite evidence that when women step into senior positions, businesses benefit from better financial results. It’s clear that women make a significant impact, and that gender diversity is an excellent commercial decision, as well as a human one.

We know that many businesses care about supporting their female talent, but find there is a lack of credible, bespoke programmes. Step Back, Stand Out is such a programme, providing focussed, tailored coaching and development to increase your influence and drive your leadership impact.

This programme gives you a powerful opportunity to further increase your impact at work. Over two days of coaching and personal exploration, including prework and follow up coaching, you will develop an individual plan designed to give you the tools and behaviours you need to excel at the highest levels of seniority. This is a chance for you to explore your leadership, define your leadership vision and drive your impact. It will give you time to think and to collaborate with your peers. You’ll gain deep insight into yourself and your capabilities and a support network of other senior women. We will have a very special guest leader joining us during the programme, for a fireside chat and interview.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Scala Advance Women Leaders Programme brings together a group of professional women business leaders. It will directly benefit professionals from a range of industries and backgrounds, who:

  • hold a leadership position within their organisaton  
  • have been identified as high-potential leaders 
  • seek to drive their leadership impact, and demonstrate strong drive to reach the top of their organisation/C Suite
  • have a minimum 15 years of professional work experience

You will spend two days learning with professional coaches and be part of a powerful programme developing your personal action & behaviour plan. You’ll focus on your future growth while allowing plenty of space for reflection. Before the programme, you’ll be asked to complete a questionnaire so we can ensure the programme meets your needs. Afterwards, you’ll have a coaching session in which you’ll follow up on your plan. 

Leadership is not tick-box, and neither is this programme.

The programme includes:

This is a two-day, residential leadership programme for a group of just 15 experienced women leaders, from the corporate world and beyond. It will take place at Cliff at Lyons, a luxury private hotel that is deep in the Irish countryside, yet only 30 minutes from Dublin.

·       Accommodation for one night in an individually designed room at Cliff at Lyons.

·       Dinner in the Orangery. The imaginative menu includes local meat and fish, foraged fruit and vegetables, and tastes from the botanical gardens.

·       Lunch on both days and breakfast on day two. [Meals can be tailored to dietary requirements as needed].

·       Tea, coffee, snacks and refreshments throughout.

·       All course materials, to be used before and during the retreat, and beyond.

·       A pre-questionnaire that we will use to tailor the course to you. 

·       A one-hour telephone coaching session to follow up on your work, thinking and planning after the event.
